Discobole's journey began in 1983 and was the result of a love of music and vinyl. The road it has traveled is long, full of turns: 33 or 45. Discobole started as the record store-pioneer in the field of electronic music in Athens.

Throughout the last few years, Discobole has hosted and become a hangout and second home for a variety of famous DJs, clubbers, music and radio producers, record companies and all kinds of music lovers. Among the above are persons of international renown. Examples include Paul Van Dyk, Dj Sasha, Danny Tenaglia, Behrouz, Paul Oakenfold, Armand Van Helden, Joe Claussel, Frankie Knuckles, Dj Pippi, Dave Seaman, Astral Projection, Astrix. The above have honored us with their presence in our space. The endless conversations we had with them, with a common point of reference our love for music, reflect our temperament and culture. Respectively, there are many names from the Greek music scene, who have visited and continue to visit our place.
Vinyl is back in vogue in recent years, leaving behind digital media (cd, mini disk, etc.). At Discobole, vinyl never went out of style. It's a way of life, it's an idea, it's the real deal, as Jack White has said. Its analog sound, this light chatter, the ritual of putting it on the turntable and stroking it to start the soundtrack of your day.
